Private treatment for suitable skin tags, warts, verrucae and benign skin imperfections.
Small skin concerns can feel frustrating, especially when they are visible, uncomfortable or keep catching on clothing.
- You may have a skin tag that rubs on jewellery or clothing.
- A wart or verruca that has been there for months.
- A small raised area that makes you feel self-conscious.
- A lesion that catches when shaving.
- Or a skin imperfection that you would simply like assessed and treated if suitable.
At Bosworth Health Suite & Pharmacy, our Cryoaesthetics service gives you a private, professional appointment to assess the area and discuss whether treatment may be suitable.
What is Cryoaesthetics?
Cryoaesthetics uses controlled cold therapy to treat suitable unwanted skin lesions. The area is frozen using targeted treatment, allowing the body to naturally shed or clear the treated tissue over time.
Treatment is only carried out following assessment and if clinically appropriate.
What can Cryoaesthetics help with?
Cryoaesthetics may be suitable for:
- Skin tags
- Warts
- Verrucae
- Milia
- Cherry angiomas
- Pigmentation spots
- Sun spots
- Suitable benign skin lesions
- Other suitable skin imperfections
Suitability will depend on the type, size, location and appearance of the lesion.
Why book privately?
Many people live with small skin concerns for a long time because they are not sure where to go, whether treatment is available, or whether it is worth asking about.
You may have already tried over-the-counter treatments, creams, gels, covering the area, or waiting to see if it goes away.
A private Cryoaesthetics appointment gives you time to have the area assessed and understand your options in a calm, local clinic setting.
What happens during your appointment?
Your appointment begins with a consultation and assessment.
We will look at the area of concern, discuss how long it has been there, check whether it has changed, and assess whether Cryoaesthetics is suitable.
If treatment is appropriate, we will explain what to expect, discuss aftercare, and only proceed if you are happy to go ahead.
If the lesion is not suitable for treatment, we will explain why and advise you on the most appropriate next step.
Cryoaesthetics or Map My Mole?
Not every skin lesion is suitable for freezing treatment.
If you have a mole or skin mark that has changed in size, shape or colour, become painful, itchy, inflamed, bleeding or crusty, or if you have a new unusual skin mark that has not gone away, Map My Mole may be more appropriate.
